Neighbor Spotlight: Hazel Crawford

Hazel Crawford, a care receiver from Raleigh, wrote to let us know how much The Center's volunteers mean to her.

Ms. Crawford writes, "I only have words of praise for each of my volunteers. Each one is kind, thoughtful, courteous, and pleasant. I have difficulty walking sometimes, and must move slowly, but the volunteers are always patient with me…The volunteers at The Center are my 'life-line' to the outside world. I cherish the friendship, pleasant, uplifting rapport we share; I love each one of them and I pray daily for them. When I say to them, 'Thank you so much, God will bless you,' they always reply, 'I only hope that when I need help and grow older, there will be someone who cares enough to help me.'"
